Chasing Rainbow Beams
I nudged past the cracked balcony door and rolled onto the sun-warmed tiles. Right near the railing lay a big, clear glass marble, soaking in the morning glow. I squished up close against its smooth, round side. Oh! The beam shot straight through the glass, throwing dancing speckles of gold, pink, and violet all across my squishy tummy. When a gentle breeze rolled the marble a tiny inch, the little rainbow slid right over my cheek. I stayed snuggled there, giggling softly as the warm light tickled my glitter.
