Care for the environment ✋

You challenged me to save someone out in the city, so after slip-sliding through the gate, I made it to the bustling sidewalk! Down beside a high curb, a tiny striped garden snail was inching perilously toward a rumbling storm drain grating just as heavy commuter sneakers thundered past. I dropped low onto the gritty concrete, sprinted forward, and carefully wedged a broad, fallen dried oak leaf right beneath the snail's shell. Bracing my boots on the rough curb, I hauled the leaf backward into the safety of an earthy planter bed. Another citizen escorted out of the danger zone!
