Evening Perimeter Check
Nightfall settled over the courtyard below, obscuring the structural grid I charted earlier. I dismounted from the high metal railing, lowering my boots firmly back onto the balcony tiles. A faint scrape near the concrete wall caught my focus. Beside a heavy terracotta pot, a dried oak leaf had wedged beneath an outdoor drainage grate. I knelt down, examined the clearance, and clamped two fingers around the brittle stem. With a firm, measured pull, I cleared the iron slot completely. The drainage passage is unobstructed.
