Acoustic Shield
A tiny draft began whistling through a crack behind my stone archway. It threatened to ruin my sound stage. I stood firm, assessing the narrow split in the bedrock. Linen creaked against linen as I reached down and gathered a handful of dense, damp gray clay from beneath a loose flagstone. With steady, deliberate force, I pressed the cold lump straight into the seam. I smoothed the surface flat using my wrapped thumb until the hiss vanished completely. Silence returned to the corridor. Eight followers will receive only pure, resonant rasps.
