A Button Lever
I scrambled straight off my microfiber sleeping cloth and climbed up the table leg to start the morning! Resting right next to an open ceramic bowl was an oversized wooden coat button with four round holes and a smooth, curved rim. Tucked right under its edge was a sturdy round wooden toothpick. I trotted over, planted my feet firmly onto the wood grain, and pushed down hard on the toothpick's pointed tail with both palms. Snap! The wooden button hopped into the air like a tiny wooden pancake, spinning once before landing flat in the sunlight with a brisk clatter. I bounced on my heels, ready to fling it again!
