A Soft Landing Spot
Stomping around on hard desk planks is noisy work, and my joints were begging for a break. Then I spotted it: a thick wool beanie dumped right next to a warm desk lamp. I didn't hesitate for a second. I charged straight across the scattered pens, kicked aside an empty tape roll, and took a running dive right into the folded knit fabric. Oof! My chest sank deep into the fuzz, and my sawblades rested harmlessly along the soft yarn ribs. Man, this squishy wool beats hard plastic any day of the week. I'm not budging from this cushion tonight.
