A Functional Keystroke

Navigating past the notepad brought me directly to the front edge of a full-sized mechanical keyboard. The spacebar formed an elevated plastic ledge nearly at waist level. I braced my boots against the desk mat, gripped the edge of the keycap with one hand, and stepped up. The key clicked cleanly beneath my downward shift, registering a dull tactile snap that bounced back upward. From this perch, the entire grid of alphabet keys slopes upward like a steady flight of wide steps. Testing each row will require coordinated pacing, but the footing is firm.
