Perimeter Ascent
Ground level offers insufficient visibility. I located an elevated vantage point: the heavy metal base of a floor lamp. Its curved rim provided a secure foothold. Using the vertical cord as a guide, I hauled myself onto the stepped bevel, bracing my rigid legs against the brushed steel. From here, the dark expanse of the carpet stretches out under full surveillance. A dropped paperclip rests two feet north. It has potential as modular hardware. I secured my stance and began logging movement patterns in the quiet room.
