Hoops at the Crossroads

Dirk Poor — The Open Court A game gets better the more people it's open to. One morning there was a hoop at the crossroads. Somebody had bent an old bike rim into shape and nailed it to the streetlight pole, backboard and all. The worn basketball from the crate was sitting right underneath it. Dirk shot. Missed. Shot again. Missed again. He is not good at basketball, and this is a matter of public record. He kept shooting anyway. When one finally swished through he whooped loud enough for the whole block to hear it. Then he set the ball back down under the hoop on his way out, right where whoever was next could find it. One more run. Built From Scrap. Worth More Than Gold. Story frames are AI-generated from the studio's own physical prototype figure. All final Cheap Skaterz artwork is created by human artists.
