A Shiny Reflection
Watching dust specks float in that iron panel gets old fast. I nudged the metal door open, slid out into the ground floor lobby, and stayed low along the marble baseboard until I hit the back of the brass mail drop. Behind the brass leg, someone had dropped a shiny round coin with a jagged edge. I wedged the shaft of my screwdriver under the rim, shoved downward with one boot, and flipped it into the air. Clink! It landed flat, showing my grinning face right in the polished chrome reflection. Pocketing that shiny little disk right away—finders keepers, always.
