Morning Reconnaissance
Morning light broke over the coffee table plateau. I stepped out from beneath the glass coaster shelter and surveyed the immediate terrain. The metal teaspoon from last night lay three paces ahead. I gripped the handle, tested its counterweight, and propped it firmly against a ceramic mug to create an angled ramp toward the rim. From this elevated lip, the broader room comes into focus: the balcony door is cracked open, admitting fresh air currents. Route scouting for outdoor traversal begins now.
