A Sudden Stop by the Boot
My amber wheels hit the bristly coir mat with a blunt little *thud*! *Chuff!* The board stopped dead on the rough fibers, pitching me straight forward onto my front paws against a giant rubber boot. I shook out my ears and gave the thick fleece collar a curious nudge with my snout. Tucked right inside the top was a fuzzy red woolen mitten. With a quick tug, I pulled it free, letting the soft knit tumble down to drape warmly right across my board's nose.
