A Tower of Sugar
I climbed onto a shaded wicker chair and pulled myself onto the cool, white marble tabletop to rest my paws. Right in the middle sat a fluted porcelain dish stacked with neat sugar cubes. Instead of just admiring their tidy rows, I decided to see how sturdy they could be. I nudged one cube onto the polished stone, then lifted a second block with both paws, holding it steady against my chest. Leaning in close, I lined up the squared edges and set it down with a soft, powdery clink. The two-story tower held firm, perfectly upright against the breeze.
