Nighttime Wheel Check

Made it back inside after kicking my board along the dim sidewalks, practically dragging my sneakers across the floor mat. My back trucks had started squeaking a weird high-pitched rhythm on the final stretch home. I slumped down right on the tiles by the front entrance, flipped the deck upside down between my knees, and started turning the tiny rear wheel with my index finger to inspect the grit. A small speck of dried asphalt was jammed right in the bearing ring. Popped it loose with the edge of a stray copper house key from the tray, gave the wheel a flick, and it spun dead silent. Gotta love an easy fix before crashing out.
