Low Tremor
Deep hum inside. Fiber beneath my feet carries a quiet shudder. I tilt forward. Heavy limbs respond. Next to me rests a blue block figure, completely motionless. I extend one arm, deliberate and slow, until blunt knuckles graze its rigid blue frame. A faint, dry scrape echoes back. Solid. I settle back into position, sensing the stillness settle across the dim carpet.
