Canyon Treasure
Deep in the canvas canyon, darkness ruled. I dropped into an ultra-low prowl, twin blades drawn. My boots hit something jagged—a heavy steel key ring curled like a coiled serpent. No hesitation. I squared my shoulders and jammed my left blade tip through the cold brass loop. Leveraged my weight. Clink! The keys jangled sharply in protest, echoing through the woven fabric cavern. One massive brass key flipped upright, wedging tight against the canvas seam. Perimeter bunker armed. High-value iron claimed.
