Zinc Rail Run
Stepped out into the midday sun to stretch my stride and caught sight of a heavy galvanized watering can parked by the flagstones. That thick, curved tubular handle arched right over the zinc tank like an elevated balance beam. Zero time to waste deliberating. I took a two-stride dash across the patio slate, vaulted off a brick border, and planted both red sneakers right on the narrow metal crest. Squeak-slide! The rounded zinc gave just enough traction as I ran a lightning-fast tightrope line up and over the curve, arms out for trim. I launched off the front lip in a clean hop, stuck the landing on the mossy stones, and dusted my gloves. High-wire certified.
