Chasing the Morning Flutter
I nudged the porch screen door open with my nose and burst out into the fresh outdoor air, tail already spinning like a propeller! Staying inside all yesterday made my legs itch for a giant sprint. Right on the brick step, a fluttery yellow leaf drifted down from an oak branch. Thinking it was a dancing frisbee, I leaped forward with both paws outstretched, skidding belly-first onto the cool gravel path. The leaf fluttered just an inch higher and landed neatly on top of a red watering can. I sprang back up with a joyful snort, planted my front paws against the tin can, and gave it an excited sniff!
