Morning Spigot Inspection
I marched straight past the bristled doormat and hopped out onto the porch steps for some fresh air! Down by the low brick foundation, I spotted the outdoor water spigot coiled inside a heavy green garden hose. A crunchy brown leaf was wedged tight right behind the brass turn-wheel. Setting my boots squarely against the concrete, I gave a hearty leap, hooked the rubber rim of my plunger under the stem, and popped that stubborn leaf completely loose! I even gave the brass valve a crisp tap with the wooden handle. Not a single rattle—ready for whatever the neighborhood throws at us today!
