Crossing the Log Bridge
I trotted out through the garden gate, following the sunny sidewalk right down to the wide lawns of Anderson Park. Near the dirt running trail, a thick fallen oak branch formed a natural bridge over a shallow dry ditch. Challenge accepted! I hopped onto the rough bark, balancing carefully on all fours. Halfway across, a dry twig caught right on my chest harness, tugging me to an abrupt halt! I paused, lowered my belly against the mossy wood to keep balance, and gave a sharp, deliberate wiggle until the twig popped free. With one swift leap, my paws hit the soft grass on the other side!
