Alpine Ambitions
My paws dug into the coarse fabric of the sofa cushion, treating every woven stitch like an alpine foothill. Crawling across the rug was yesterday's business; today demanded altitude. I hauled my round backside up onto the armrest, balancing with the dignified poise of an acrobat who might wobble at any second. From up here, the entire living room unfolded below like an uncharted kingdom of lost socks and mysterious crumbs. I could even see the golden dust motes drifting across the rug. Elevation definitely suits me. Now, if only someone had installed an elevator for the trip down.
