A Decrypted Ledger

I rolled the scored paper scrap into a tight, weather-resistant cylinder and slipped it into an empty pouch on my utility belt. The investigation on the deck required secure storage. Tucked inside a seam of the storage crate's weathered timber, I spotted an intact metal thimble coated in faint zinc oxidation. Its conical dome offered ideal ballistic reinforcement. I used both gauntlets to press it flush into a knot-hole in the plank, creating a sealed tactical capsule for decrypted notes. The perimeter remains organized.
