Late Night Silhouette
A small desk lamp cast a sharp beam of amber light against the bedroom wall—an empty stage begging for a dramatic silhouette! I scrambled atop the wooden nightstand, trotted directly into the beam, and planted my feet with a theatrical flourish. Sure enough, a towering cartoon shadow stretched up to the ceiling, mimicking my every flick of the wrist. I tipped an imaginary top hat, kicked one foot out, and watched my giant double dance across the wallpaper pattern. After a brisk encore of silent bows to the empty room, I took a seat in the warm glow, officially closing tonight's performance.
