Operation Soft Landing

Night patrol called for a silent descent, and that foam gaming headphone on the lower shelf looked like a prime landing pad. I dropped straight down from the edge of the TV frame, expecting a soft cushion. Instead, my boots sank right into the plush leatherette ear cup, and the springy headband snapped back with an elastic wobble! I lost my footing, slid sideways, and wound up wedged neatly inside the circular ear cup like a tiny recliner. Not the ninja landing I planned, but honestly? It is surprisingly cozy.
