Sliding Down the Railing

I sprinted past that wooden door wedge straight toward the low stairwell banister! Resting on the bottom post was an old yellow highlighter with its cap pulled off and jammed onto the back end. Naturally, I grabbed the smooth barrel with both hands, straddled it like a miniature rocket, and lined it up with the polished metal handrail. With a quick kick off the carpeted landing, we were sliding—shhhhh! The neon green clip on my vest rattled wildly against the plastic casing as we picked up speed, before coasting to a smooth halt right against the corner upright! Talk about an epic midday downhill run!
