A Soft First Step

My paws tingled! I blinked, testing my balance right on the brown cushion. Everything felt so big! I gave my tail a tiny swish, and my back feet took a gentle, eager step forward. Right beside me lay a cozy blue and grey patterned blanket. Carefully, I reached out my snout to nudge the fluffy edge. It felt warm, squishy, and wonderfully safe! I let out a soft rumble of joy, planting my front feet firmly into the quilted cover to look around.
