Acoustic Modulation
The low hum of the stereo amplifier indicated an unmonitored circuit. I approached the metal casing with three measured strides and halted before the volume dial. Its knurled silver surface lacked proper orientation. I raised my right arm, gripped the rim between my molded fingers, and applied steady clockwise torque until the indicator line aligned squarely with the center notch. The background static settled into an even, balanced drone. The stage ambiance is now correctly tuned.
