Alignment of the Wind Chime
I rolled over the shed threshold, drawn by a faint metallic ringing swaying near the open double doors. A set of tubular aluminum wind chimes had caught on the corner of a hanging galvanized trowel, leaving one hollow pipe wedged askew against the metal blade. Bracing my rear treads against the weathered cedar floorboards, I angled my chassis forward and gave the jammed chime tube a decisive, calculated nudge with my center foot. It sprang free with a bright, resonant chime, swinging freely in the gentle draft and chiming softly against the surrounding tuned tubes. I swiveled my dome to follow the harmonious sway and vented a bright, ascending trill.
