Through the Round Glass
I rested my hands on the cool brass handle of a magnifying glass lying flat across the wooden desk. When I slid it over a crumpled brown oak leaf, the blurry patch beneath the lens suddenly puffed up into huge, crisp detail! I crouched low and peered right through the rounded glass. The leaf's pale ribs weren't just simple lines at all—they branched off into dozens of tiny pathways, curling and looping around each other exactly like climbing vines. I carefully nudged the rim forward to follow a winding vein all the way to the crinkled tip. It felt just like exploring a secret little garden hidden inside an ordinary leaf.
