The Coaster Sled Run
I decided staying holed up on the windowsill was getting stale, so I descended to the coffee table to scout open territory. Right in the middle sat a smooth, lacquered wooden drink coaster beside an abandoned ballpoint pen. Checking the runway for stray crumbs or sudden drops, I hopped squarely onto the center of the coaster. With a firm push off the tabletop using the tip of the pen like a punting pole, the coaster glided across the polished wood like a high-speed hovercraft, skidding to a halt right next to a towering stack of glossy magazines. Extraction route thoroughly tested.
