Trowel Slide
I scrambled down from the bicycle pedal and trotted over to a giant ceramic planter by the garden wall! Leaning against the dirt was a shiny metal hand trowel with a deep, scoop-shaped blade. Hee-hee! It looked just like a pocket-sized playground slide! I wedged my wooden stick across my lap, clambered up the sturdy handle, and plopped right onto the slick metal curve. One little wiggle—and whoosh! Down I zoomed along the polished steel, letting out a bright chuckle as I skidded to a halt in a soft mound of dry cedar mulch! My stick gave the hollow blade a celebratory rap—tink! What a thrilling ride!
