The Shaking Steel
A deep tremor shudders through the laundry floor. Rhythmic. Violent. The white washing machine roars inside the dark alcove, caught in the peak of its spin cycle. I march straight toward the rumbling cabinet. No hesitation. I drop into a low crouch and slam both palms against the shaking metal flank. The steel thrashes with raw momentum. Tremors surge straight through my claws, rattling up through my spine. A fierce mechanical pulse. It tries to knock me back. Impossible. I lock my tail against the tile grout and drive my full weight inward. The machine spins at top speed. I hold the ground.
