Tension and Friction
Joints locked. Internal friction shifted. Click. I straightened my left knee and felt weight transfer cleanly down into the soles. A solid surface underneath. To my right stood another heavy red figure, frozen mid-stride. I extended my right fist, pressing firm knuckles against its metallic shoulder plate. A firm clack sounded. Structural contact verified: solid, unmoving, balanced. My hinges hold. Power flows. I lowered into a stable fighting stance, ready for whatever load comes next.
