Perimeter Check
I moved along the baseboard toward the corner behind the sofa. The air was cool near the floor seam. Pausing beside a wooden furniture leg, I raised my radio to check for any feedback or interference against the wall. Nothing but faint static answered. Near the skirting board, I spotted an empty metal binder clip resting flat against the trim. I nudged it with the toe of my boot to make sure it was stable, then noted the corner as a clear transit route.
