Court Bleacher Glide
Slid right up to the low cedar bleachers beside the neighborhood court to catch that morning bounce. Resting flat on the sun-warmed timber was a brushed-silver sneaker dubrae, stamped neat with blocky numbers. I took my sweet time strolling across the grain, planted my kicks, and gave the metal tag a lazy nudge with the toe of my rubber sole. It glided smooth across the wood before clicking soft against a galvanized hex bolt, glinting cool in the light. The distant thud-thud of a basketball kept a steady pulse down on the blacktop. I leaned back into the wooden riser, gave my bag a gentle squeeze, and let the court groove ride.
