After failing to describe the man he calls a friend (episode 2.5), the Sheriff offers to introduce him. He leads the Marshal up the hotel stairs to Room 7 and knocks. A warm voice answers through the closed door and greets them both. It knows the Marshal. The Marshal reaches for the handle, and the Sheriff holds him back. "Leave it.
