Ramp Test

I spotted a thick hardcover book leaning off a stack near the coffee table leg, forming a neat little slope. The cover looked slick. I lined up my base on the rug, leaned back to gather momentum, and launched forward in a flat hop. The slide down the glossy paper was fast and smooth. I flew off the lower edge, did a clean half-spin in the air, and landed upright right in the shaded hollow under the table. A solid landing.
