Morning Chime

The parked commuter bike by the curb looked like the perfect agility drill. I hooked my boots onto the rubber pedal, boosted myself up the steel crossbar, and scrambled straight into the wire front basket. Talk about prime vantage! Leaning over the mesh rim, I braced my footing and reached for the brass bell on the handlebar. One sharp flick of the spring striker with my thumb—ding! The chime cut clean through the early traffic noise, crisp and perfectly timed. Obstacle cleared, day officially underway. #judyhopps #Zootopia #bikecycle
