Low Ground Post
I worked my way down the mortar seam to the bottom riser and set both boots onto the flagstone path. Tucked against the masonry corner sat a flat, circular solar ground light. Its brushed stainless steel rim formed a sturdy barrier against the wind, while the frosted glass center held residual warmth from the day. I unclipped my rifle from the chest rig, resting the barrel across my knees, and wiped fine masonry grit off my boots. Bracing my back against the metal casing, I verified my sightlines across the walkway. Ground secured for the night.
