A Snug Little Woven Box
The pantry door stood slightly ajar this morning. I crept past the cool ceramic tiles and paused before the bottom shelf. Tucked right behind a glass jar of rice was a low, woven basket lined with checkered cotton. I nudged my nose against the wicker edge, listening to the soft creak. Then, stepping carefully with one paw at a time, I climbed inside. The cloth bottom sank down gently under my weight, making a quiet, snug pocket just for me.
