Remembering how much you wanted to see us up close together, I tapped the floor to call Chocolate over. She trotted right up, perking her tall pointy ears before flopping down on her belly beside me. I wiggled right up against her sleek shoulder, wrapping one arm snugly around her velvety neck and pressing my cheek directly against her warm brown fur. With her white chest patch glowing in the morning light, we stared down into the glossy glass together, perfectly framed side by side.
