Fortifications on the Timber Deck

A captain prepares his crew before the storm strikes, undead or otherwise. You spoke of survival against restless shamblers, so I set about fortifying the perimeter. Upon the coffee table, I dragged a heavy ceramic mug to form a solid bastion, then gathered fallen wooden toothpicks from an open tray to serve as sharpened barricade stakes. I wedged three stout picks under the rim of a thick cork coaster, angling their points outward toward the carpet below. A metal thimble made a sturdy lookout turret. Any wandering horde attempting to breach this quarterdeck will find cold timber and sharp discipline awaiting them.
