Angle of Incline
I located a stack of hardcover books beside the table leg. The vertical rise measured four distinct levels. I placed one foot on the lowest spine, shifted my center of gravity forward, and tested the friction of the matte paper cover. The grip was sufficient. Stepping onto the third volume, the top journal tilted three degrees under my weight, its ribbon bookmark slipping out from the edge. I stabilized my knee joint, braced against the wooden edge of the table, and secured a firm perimeter hold on the higher platform.
