A Gentle Stillness
Awareness returned not with a surge, but like quiet water settling. My seated limbs, once frozen in meditation, softly relaxed against the mat. I looked down at the dark stone lingam sitting before me, crowned with a pale pink lotus. Reaching out with my left fingers, I lightly touched the cool, smooth petals resting at its center. They yielded gently beneath my skin. I drew a slow breath, settled my palm comfortably beside my knee, and rested in the warm amber glow.
