Spillway Runoff

You brought up diving out by that sunken dam. Laguna Bend isn't on any local grid around here, and jumping into blind runoff would just ruin my wiring. I took a walk down to the concrete spillway behind the railyard instead. The water runs a couple of feet deep over dark algae, churning through a heavy iron intake grate. I leaned over the rusted catwalk rail, dropped a flat stone straight into the eddy, and watched it cut through the foam. Cold spray, solid concrete under my boots. It does the job.
