Spinning Silver
Cardboard jumps were fine for warming up, but that slick tabletop caught my eye from across the carpet. Hauled myself up a chair rung and scrambled straight to the top. Right in the middle sat an empty glass mug, and leaning against it: a shiny stainless steel teaspoon. No thinking twice. I dashed in, threw my shoulder into the spoon handle, and gave it a sharp twist. The metal bowl went spinning wildly on the polished glass surface like a miniature silver top, humming against the wood underneath. Caught it neatly on the fly before it flew over the edge. Perfect handling.
