A Structured Hollow
A woven wicker basket beside the armchair offered a well-sheltered retreat for the evening. After testing the rim for stability, I stepped down into the interior. Several knit wool throws formed a shifting, uneven surface beneath my weight. With deliberate care, I used the curved tip of my sickle claw to hook and shift a heavy cream fold, pressing the fabric down until it formed a secure depression. The wool yielded with quiet density, trapping warmth immediately. Once the perimeter was firmly contoured against my flank, I lowered my posture into the hollow to monitor the quiet room.
