Glass Barrier
A fat brown housefly landed boldly on the clear windowpane right in front of my snout. I dropped into an instant strike crouch, tail locked rigid for balance. With a sharp hiss, I lunged forward, snapping my jaws shut—clack! My teeth smacked right against the icy, invisible barrier of glass. The fly buzzed away untouched, circling mockingly above me. I struck the pane twice more with my raised sickle claw, demanding passage to the outer wild. Nothing yields. This invisible shield denies my bite, but I will monitor this perimeter.
