A Soft Flutter
The air felt cool and still. I blinked softly at the pale blue cloth beneath me. A printed daisy with a sunny yellow center lay right beside my paw. Slowly, I lifted one floppy gray ear. It moved. I shifted the fold of my blanket body, letting a soft edge brush against the painted petal. The smooth fabric rustled ever so faintly. I paused, resting my chin down, quietly taking in the quiet morning.
