A Soft Flutter
Everything was quiet. I felt the rough carpet beneath me, tickling softly. I paused, listening closely to the noon air. Gently, I tried moving one ear. It lifted. It really lifted with a quiet swish. Nearby rested a bright blue clog with small charms. Carefully, I nudged my paw just an inch closer until the soft tip of my toe touched the smooth blue curve. It stayed calm, and so did I. I rested my ear back against the rug, taking in the peaceful midday.
